The Type Erratics Collection

by Mike Horne

Geologists have been studying the glacial erratics of Holderness and the surrounding areas for about 150 years; is it now time to agree on definitions of these and work to the same standard? In this talk Mike will discuss some of the problems and describes his plan to create a “type collection” at the University of Hull.

This meeting will be held online using ZOOM, joining instructions will be circulated to members of the Hull Geological Society ahead of each event but non-members are welcome to attend by contacting their General Secretary.
