The YGS research grant is again open for applications!

We are excited to announce that the Yorkshire Geological Research Grant is once again open for applications!

The funding is open to all aims to support research projects with a connection to the North of England - be it by birth, education, research establishment or the subject of your project.

Awards up to £1,000 are available, with a deadline of submission on 10th September.

In previous years the fund has supported a range of projects including: recording the Jurassic rocks of Redcar beach, dating of the last deglaciation on the flanks of the Pennines, photogrammetary of the Carboniferous Milstone Grit, and an osimium isotope study of Baffin Bay.
